How Our Smart Irrigation Works
AquaMossnest systems combine several technologies to create the most efficient watering solution for your specific landscape:
Soil Moisture Sensors: These devices are buried at root level in key areas of your garden, continuously monitoring soil conditions. When moisture drops below optimal levels for the plants in that zone, the system activates only that specific section.
Weather-Based Controllers: Our ET (evapotranspiration) controllers receive local weather data either through internet connection or on-site weather stations. They calculate daily water needs based on temperature, humidity, wind speed, and solar radiation.
Flow Monitoring: All systems include flow meters that detect unusual water usage patterns indicating leaks or broken lines. You'll receive immediate alerts if problems are detected.
Zone-Specific Programming: We create separate watering schedules for each area of your garden based on plant types, sun exposure, and soil conditions. A typical residential system has 6-12 independent zones.
Drip Emitter Technology: Our pressure-compensating emitters deliver precise amounts of water (measured in gallons per hour) regardless of elevation changes or line length, ensuring even distribution throughout the system.
System Components
Every AquaMossnest installation includes these quality components:
Backflow Preventers: Required by code in most areas, these devices protect your home's drinking water from contamination.
Pressure Regulators: Maintain optimal pressure (typically 25-30 PSI for drip systems) to prevent damage to components and ensure even water distribution.
Filters: Remove particles that could clog emitters, with different mesh sizes for different water sources (150 mesh for municipal water, 120 mesh for well water, 80 mesh for rainwater).
Distribution Tubing: UV-resistant polyethylene tubing sized appropriately for your garden's flow requirements.
Emitters & Micro-Sprinklers: Various types including button drippers, adjustable drippers, micro-sprays, and bubbler emitters selected for each planting area.
Valves: Quality solenoid valves with brass internals for reliable operation, sized appropriately for each zone's flow requirements.
Controllers: Weather-smart timers with WiFi connectivity for remote access and monitoring.
